Henna Night - Istanbul

On a warm Friday night in Istanbul, I had the honor of attending the Henna and dancing celebration of Meral and Kamal. It wasn’t just any event—it was a vibrant blend of cultures, energy, and love. As both their friend and photographer, I felt a deep responsibility to capture the joy, emotion, and connection that filled the room.

From the first song to the final dance, the atmosphere was electric. Friends and family from near and far came together, dancing for hours to a lively mix of Turkish and Indian music. There was laughter, tradition, rhythm—and so much love in every direction.

While I was there to document it all, I also found myself swept up in the celebration. It was one of those rare moments where being behind the camera felt just as fun as being part of the dance floor. I’m truly grateful to have experienced it both as a guest and a storyteller.

Huge thanks to Meral, Kamal, and Happy for making it all so seamless and memorable. It’s a night I won’t soon forget.

We had an amazing time celebrating our wedding in Istanbul/Turkey with all our loved ones for three days. Our wedding beautifully combined both Indian and Turkish cultures, and Ganusan accompanied us throughout all three days, immortalizing every moment. No matter how wonderful your wedding is, if you don’t have someone to capture those moments properly, you’re left with no memories to look back on. Ganusan was always active with his camera, capturing all our special moments over the three days.

On the second day, our henna night was held in a venue where the package included the venue’s own photographer, but unfortunately, all the photos they took were of poor quality. Thankfully, Ganusan was there that day as well and photographed our event—otherwise, we wouldn’t have had any photos from that day.

When Ganusan delivered the photos, he had worked on and edited each one individually (he even edited photos of our guests who attended the wedding). We’re so glad he was with us; he’s definitely a keen observer and captured all the beautiful moments perfectly. I am very grateful to him, and I can wholeheartedly recommend Ganusan for your special days without any hesitation.
